But, I Still Struggle
But, I Still Struggle
This may be a strange and simplistic metaphor, but with everything happening politically in our society including the divisiveness and tribalism, it is difficult to remember that we are all in the “soup” with each other. Our soup has many ingredients which work best when stirred in together, and the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Some of us are the stock, some the chunky parts (not a reference to weight), some the spices and some the bubbles which carry the aroma. As a professional psychic, I try to maintain an apolitical approach in my work, appreciating that everyone has their own opinion. I probably identify with the bubbles, but if so, there are choices the bubbles can make. They can try to reabsorb into the soup and become involved, they can hover over the soup but encourage the ingredients, they can hover over the soup and be spiritually objective and detached, they can hover over the soup and judge and criticize, or they can escape and dissipate into the atmosphere. My hope is that I can be a nonjudgmental, positive, and encouraging bubble. But, I still struggle.
