If the Head Line and Heart Line start together above the thumb (Figure 1), this is an indication of caution. If the Head and Heart Lines are separated with a gap above the thumb (Figure 2), this indicates that the person tends to be spontaneous and more impulsive.

The dominant hand is the hand we tend to favor or use more often. If the dominant hand shows impulsivity and the non-dominant hand shows caution, then the individual started life pressured to be cautious but reacted to that and became more spontaneous. If the dominant hand shows caution but the non-dominant shows spontaneity, then the person started out being spontaneous, but family or circumstantial events pressured the person to become more cautious.
